★ Reliable and secure software – operating 8 years in the market and continuously updated ★ Number one cross-platform solution with native apps for Android, iOS, Windows & Mac ★ Over 10,000 positive reviews, thousands of happy users and millions of photo transfers Any kind of transfer – PhotoSync can handle it! I suppose I just wanted this post to be a beacon for anyone looking for solutions with the PhotoSync app, since I couldn't find anything when googling myself and honestly it's a hell of an app when it works well.Wirelessly and automatically transfer, backup and share photos & videos between your Android devices, computer, iPhone, iPad, NAS, cloud and photo services. So at first, I had used WebDav to connect to my nextcloud server to do syncing - this worked well enough, the app has quite an impressive set of options for converting and file name schemes, but for some reason, it kept erroring out while transferring (I have 45k pics to transfer, I need 100% reliability).įor whatever reason, I tried out syncing through SMB straight to my nextclouds photos folder on my unraid SMB share, and wouldn't you know it, it's syncing perfectly with at the moment without errors or crashes, 4k files transferred in just around 15 minutes on 5GHz in the same room as my router and expect to have all 40k left over finished by today.

I am trying out the 2 week free premium trial and might end up purchasing the lifetime package - promise im not a shill, just admiring an app that actually has a lifetime option since so many don't offer them. Next came PhotoSync (ios and android) - before proceeding, I'd like to mention that honestly? the prices aren't too shabby. I didn't feel like using icloudPD because as far as I'm aware, I would need to upload to icloud first, no go there. When trying out nextcloud's IOS app for photo sync, it seriously couldn't go more than about 2 minutes without crashing - so that was a no go. You have the usual suggestions of icloudPD, nextcloud's IOS app, a few others, and PhotoSync. So I've been looking into a solution for backing up my iPhone automatically to nextcloud.
